Dynamic new kids production company Hoho Entertainment has announced key overseas sales for its flourishing pre-school property Cloudbabies which will see the 52 x 10” CG animated series transmitting on ABC in Australia, Hop! in Israel, S4C in Wales, PTS in Taiwan, and Minimini in Poland.
Created by award-winning art director Bridget Appleby, Cloudbabies made its colourful debut on CBeebies in the UK earlier this year. Aimed at pre-schoolers, the enchanting series teaches children about caring for others and the world around them and introduces them to the wonder of the sky and the concepts of day and night, sun and moon and rainbows and stars.
“After a hugely successful debut on CBeebies, we’re thrilled that Cloudbabies is ready to launch in other territories with these initial overseas deals” said Danielle Davies Hoho Entertainment’s Head of Sales and Acquisitions. “With strong international interest, we expect to make further announcements very soon.”
Cloudbabies features the adventures of four adorable, childlike characters whose job it is to look after the sky and their Sky Friends - Sun, Moon, Rainbow, Fuffa Cloud and Little Star. They live together with Bobo White, a mischievous little imp, in a house on a big fluffy cloud. Every morning, they jump on their Skyhorsies and begin their day’s work – making sure all is running smoothly in the sky.
The series is animated by Studio Liddell in Manchester. Licensees already on board include Vivid for Master Toy and Penguin Children’s Books for publishing.
